Whistling (feedback)
Whistling noises occur when you draw your hand close to the ear. It should stop
when you take your hand away. If it continues, make sure that the apparatus is
positioned correctly in the ear canal. If it continues, ask your audiologist to
check your hearing aid, your ear canal for a build up of cerumen and your
hearing thresholds.
Whistling can also occur when inserting your hearing aid in your ear. This is normal, however, the whistling should stop when your hearing aid is positioned correctly in your ear.
