Who is ClearSound?
ClearSound commenced operation in August of 1999, manufacturing and distributing hearing instruments throughout New Zealand on a wholesale basis. A competitive challenge lay ahead as we introduced our hearing aids to hearing health care providers and within time ClearSound was accepted into New Zealand's hearing aid industry as a recognised supplier.

What does ClearSound do?
We manufacture and distribute SONIC innovations Hearing Technology. Our range is dominated by 100% digital products because of the demand in New Zealand. In 2002 80% of hearing aids fitted were digital.

What digital hearing aids can do for you?
Utilising today's digital technology, our digital hearing instruments are sampling and calculating at 2.8 million times per second, adjusting your hearing aid to suit the environment. Why is this so important? As you change your listening environment it is equally important to have the hearing aid adjust instantaneously ensuring only the sounds needed such as speech is understandable.

This type of technology is the same used in today's digital signal processors and advanced audio computer programs, the biggest difference is the physical size, our processors are a million times smaller. Also the digital chip used in out hearing instruments has very low battery drain making frequent battery changes a thing of the past saving you time and money.
